Trusting Grateful Inspired Friday – Bishop’s Beach and Rilke version

Trusting – Looking for moments of flow in my every day life, moments when I am so immersed that time flows by unheeded. Today I walked for two hours on the beach. I could not have been happier. The primal scent of the ocean, a mixture of salt and decomposition, and the wind. Everywhere I looked were patterns and shapes that pleased me. These moments when time is meaningless are the foundation towards building an honest life.

Grateful – for the teeming world all around me. And grateful for a cup of hot chai after a long walk. AND for crows that crowd around a freshwater stream and comment to me about the worth of a sunny day.

Inspired – Oh Rilke. “…Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.” Patience. Questions. Live everything.
